Greenstone’s non-financial reporting software is one of the first software tools to complete the certification for the implementation of the new GRI Standards content.
The new Standards were announced by the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) in October 2016 and were officially launched in a series of global events. Developed by the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB), the GRI Standards aim to build on the previous GRI G4 framework to help companies around the world be more transparent in all areas of sustainability and to help organisations contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Greenstone’s software content has been certified by GRI’s Certified Software and Tools Program which guarantees that software and digital tools are using GRI content accurately, enabling robust and transparent reporting and making sustainability reports better, more accessible and easier to produce.
Greenstone provides easy-to-use, secure software with automated, accurate and auditable reporting along with supporting services from a team of industry experts. Greenstone’s CSR Frameworks module has been designed to meet the requirements of GRI’s sustainability reporting framework and enables companies to collect the required data needed to compile and produce a GRI report. Greenstone has used the GRI Standards Linkage Documents to map the content of the GRI Standards with the other frameworks available in the software including the SDGs.
Using Greenstone’s software, companies can define bespoke question sets from a range of reporting frameworks, including GRI, CDP and ISO 26000, based on the relevance and materiality to their organisation. Data and supporting information can then be collected across the organisation for a number of these frameworks in the same process, before being consolidated into internal and external reporting templates.
